DBS Rescue was not founded for the easy fluffy flips, the rampant number of rehomes, or the strays filling the streets, we are here to change the future for all of them.

We are not here to take away from our shelters, but to strengthen and support them. With time, resources, skills and whatever we can offer to help raise awareness towards their facilities, events, needs, but most of all the animals they are saving. Why the emphasis on shelter support? Unlike rescues and civilians, shelter staff can't pick or choose when they get involved, they clock-in and face the current crisis without the freedom to log-out, take "some time away" after hard losses, or defend themselves for simply following protocols while upholding the law. 

We are not here to gatekeep, compete, to "push out", or "take over", we are here to connect, collaborate, and unite all communities so we can all be a part of a safer, healthier, and more responsible dog friendly future.

All of our work is made possible through close collaboration with municipal shelters, other rescue organizations, and community partners who show up every day for dogs in need.

We're deeply grateful for their trust and partnership, and we take our role seriously. Teaming up and supporting each other through advocacy, events, education, and responsible placement support is how we are all going to change the world, for the better, together.
