Volunteer or Foster with DBS Rescue
We believe the strongest outcomes come from informed, thoughtful support. Volunteering and fostering are both vital - but they look very different. Below is a clear overview to help you choose the role that best fits your availability, lifestyle, and capacity.
Volunteer
Volunteers support the behind-the-scenes work that helps dogs get seen, supported, and adopted responsibly. Roles vary based on current needs and may includes event support, outreach, transport assistance, digital advocacy, or skill-based help.
Opportunities are flexible and can be task-based or time-based, making thisa strong option for individuals or groups looking to contribute in a meaningful way.

Foster
Fosters provide temporary, in-home are for dogs who need additional time, stability, or support outside of the shelter environment. This role allows dogs to decompress, heal, or prepare for adoption in a home setting.
Fostering is a deeper commitment that requires consistency, communication, and a stable home environment. Support, coordination, and guidance are provided through our team and shelter partners.
