Previously at Batte Axe Barbell's Dog Friendly Open Gym & Adoption Event

June 14th 2025, 2:00pm - 5:00pm come and celebrate 6 years with Battle Axe Barbell! Located in Garland, Texas this dog-friendly gym offers equipment that you need to take your strength training to the next level, be you a powerlifter, strongman or just someone who enjoys being strong! CONGRATULATIONS TO OWNERS DERRICK AND SHELLEY! (Some of the best dog-loving humans and responsible dog owners you could have the privilege to speak with!)

DBS Rescue will be teaming up with the incredible team at Garland Animal Shelter& Adoption Center to bring adoptable strong dogs in need of loving and responsible homes! Last event we hosted with Battle Axe Barbell one Lucy was adopted upon announcement and then one Candied Pork-belly (Now Axle) was adopted at the actual event -- that means our goal is to get at least ONE MORE than last time! So be sure to help these dog's by sharing our posts on social media leading up to the event and be sure to invite all your dog loving athletic and active humans!
