Meet the Featured Adoptables!
At Different Breed Solutions, we work hands-on with shelter partners to give every dog the love and support they need to find their forever home. Each dog featured under a shelter was a dog we have personally volunteered with.
Captivating eyes, a stunning brindle coat, and those fun, unique ears always peeled and ready for a command (and praise). Ross is a quick learner, a total people-pleaser, and a playful medium-sized guy with serious potential. With his intelligence and athleticism, we can absolutely see him thriving in an active home—maybe even a competitive/sport home with the right person.
Young Jasper is one intelligent good boy—he’ll wait calmly with his back to the kennel door, then step forward with manners the moment you open it so you can leash him up with ease. Whether it’s a brisk walk or a trip to the play yard, he’s a pleasant companion. He’s excited to make friends and he’s very treat-motivated, so continuing his training should be a fun (and doable) win.
Mannie is a sweet, gentle (big) senior who’s shown incredible kennel manners during volunteer sessions. He likes to keep his space clean, enjoys strolling along the tree line, and is a big fan of soft treats. I’d love to see this gentleman find a home that gives him the love and care he deserves—so he can spend his years in comfort, with the loyalty every dog should experience.
Timid at first, Luv is past her puppy years and looking for the loyalty and love that will help her feel truly at home. She definitely prefers wet/moist food and treats—but she never holds back her smile on walks, especially along wooded trails, and she lights up when she meets other dogs. If you’re a nature-walk kind of person, she might be the perfect addition to your pack.
ash manners. For her best chance long-term, she must go to an experienced handler and be enrolled in professional training at placement. I don’t recommend a home with children right now since she’s still building impulse control when she gets big, happy feelings.
The best part: she’s already shown HUGE improvement with minimal work, so she’s absolutely trainable with structure and consistency.
I’m praying Lizzie finds the home that gives her the unmeasurable love she deserves. She has scars around her gentle eyes, healing wounds on her nose, and she’s still far too thin—bones visible from every angle. This sweet girl deserves the softest blanket, the most compassionate heart, and a bowl that never empties.
From what we’ve seen, she loves people—and she trains like a dream.
This is one of those rare puppies dog lovers really appreciate. He tries to keep his kennel clean, sits every time you walk up, and sits again when you open the door to leash him. Yes—he’s got a few zoomie jumps, but what puppy doesn’t? He’ll likely be a good-sized dog, so if you’re looking for a trainable pup you can help grow up right, he’s your guy.
Luna is a newer face on Adoption Avenue and shows her gratitude for anyone who spends time with her—inside or outside the kennel—with excited affection. She can come off a little shy at first, but if you’ve got a treat, you’re officially her best friend. If you’re looking for a stout cuddle buddy, Luna may be your gal.
So proud of Party Nugget—this girly went from showing a concerning level of kennel stress to acting like what she really is: a bored puppy who just needs an outlet. She likely has the potential to grow into a good-sized dog, and her ability to improve has been incredible to watch. Even with very limited (very spaced out) training sessions, her potential is insanely high. Definitely check out her video on DBSRescue over on IG.
This big boy needs a home that understands the importance of nutrition and long-term health decisions. He takes treats without questions and would probably sell his left kidney for a bowl of wet food. He’ll benefit from some basic training to help with impulse control, but he’s friendly, fun, and genuinely great to spend time with.
Visually impaired Dara is wonderfully adapted and doesn’t let it slow her down. She uses the leash to help guide her, and while she can startle at times, she truly LOVES being loved on. She also enjoys treats and has a solid sit command she seems to have down! If you haven't had a special needs dog but are open to it, she is here!
Listed last but definitely not least deserving—Bree is the dog to beat! She’s got her basic training down, an insanely impressive “speak,” and honestly… look how unique she is. Bree is basically the full package: brains, beauty, and (like the other dogs) she’s up to date medically thanks to the shelter workers and partners.
