Meet DBS | Different Breed Solutions Rescue first official tag, formerly known as Whitney/ Petunia we couldn't let this sweet French bulldog mix lose out on a full life due to lack of responsible ownership or handling.
Her surrender paperwork shows our main challenge is reactivity with animals. During the first assessment founders Justin and Tessa saw strong signs that this can improve with slow, structured exposure and training.
Queen Lateefa is coming with a small limp from the shelter we are addressing with immediate activity restriction, crate rest and delaying the beginning of her training program. In the few hours she has been in our rescues care, she has proven she is potty trained, crate trained, knows off, come, sit, down
Has shown zero signs of resource guarding
Has shown zero signs of aggression towards pre-teen aged children
She doesn't mind being washed, but loves being towel dried
Reactivity Observations:
When carried past 7 dogs she did see them but showed zero reactivity, not even a whimper or growl.
When a staffy-dane walked into the room she was crated in she watched him but had zero reactivity
When walked on leash past the same dogs in crate she did react with pulling, barking, and whirlwind tail wags
When introduced to a mini-dachshund (who remained out of reach) she showed interest by jumping, growling, and barking but no lunging or attempts to bite
