Queen LaTeefa 1 Month Update

It's a month April 2nd so we are posting a LITTLE early, but we want to make sure we keep you guys in the loop! Queen LaTEEFa is doing just fine!

She is still on limited movement until April 8th, so prayers she won't need any medical intervention, and will be okayed to start slow introductions and structured training!

Since she has been on limited movement we have to give the biggest thank you's to the donors who have been generously sending her dog food, training treats, and a lovely purple leash she seems to very much appreciate!

We have been working on some minimal fun training commands like leash where she will walk her little pumpkin head through the actual leash loop and sit politely.

She has been doing great working on impulse control when we set down her bowls to eat, it was actually easier than I thought it was going to be.

She has been a huge fan of the kids in every exchange, when she met our 3 year-old niece she let her pet her after a excited hop of a greeting, it took one simple sit command for her to correct herself.

She still has yet to have a potty accident. She started taking the fluff out of her dog bed but she has left the soft comfy blankets alone. She poops like a medium sized dog. She is working on barrier reactivity when inside fences but when faced with crates if they are calm she is calm walking by. When the dogs are in the room and she is in her crate they will sit at her kennel door and exchange kisses, sighs, and tail wags.

The few interactions she has had on leash with our (trained) dogs, she has not caused any problems, she definitely loves to kiss, doesn't mind who, or what, it is! Those little radar ears allow her to teleport to exactly 3 feet in front of a person, in a calm seated position, whenever one of her treat bags are open.

Best part is she has 1 interest for foster-to-adopt form submitted! So big hopes that works out and they stay interested as well!
